“BLOOD” -Nayana Nair

-See-the-beauty-in-the-blood-vampires-19624453-1042-768

My blood rushes around,

to keep me alive.

But isn’t everyone one step away

from being a lifeless body

on a pyre,

in a coffin

had their blood decided that it had had enough

and to stop, to rest

and be destroyed in the peace it granted itself

for a whole life of fatigue,

for a whole life of burden of disappointments.

Had we remained strangers

Had we remained strangers

Such a beautiful poem 🙂

Exposed Emotions

With every smile on your face
My heart beats a little,
As every beat it takes
It breaks a little,
In my veins as blood refills
I curse myself
For being so selfish,
To see you smile is I always wanted.

See how time changes,
How it changes us,
Love, turned into poison,
You left running in my nerves,
One day it was the reason
Of my existence,
Now it’s boiling inside
Like some acid concentrate,

I shouldn’t have said those words,
We should’ve never met,
I shouldn’t have touched
Your cheeks, your hands, your lips,
It wouldn’t have turned out this evil
Had we remained strangers.
