“Fine” – Nayana Nair

These days
I love everything
but only for a moment
then they lie forgotten
under the piles of
likes and pins and bookmarks.
But what makes me sad
is when people tell me
that’s absolutely fine.

About Nayana Nair

Hi, I am Nayana Nair. I'm 25. Just a crazy girl who has tons of things to talk about....not much organized thoughts sadly. I like to talk about everything...mostly..every conversation of mine turns into a monologue.... So I decided I should start writing a blog..rather than chat.... I'm very much passionate about music, psychology and literature.... Moderate interest in science..... I always want to be a writer (and also a teacher)..But I don't think I have the skills required...this blog is just my attempt at becoming the writer I always wanted to be...Blogging for few years, I have realized I am more of a poet (although, I am not sure that I am good enough for that label)...I hope I realize more about myself through writing. Thanks for dropping by!! Hope I didn't disappoint. :)

  1. If it makes you sad
    Then do something to change
    People can’t help you
    If you don’t help yourself

    • It makes me sad, because everyone else is living the same life of temporary loves. It is not something for me to change. It is just the way things are and that makes it more sad. πŸ™‚

      • Who said that life of temporary love exists?

      • What I am intending to say is people around me and including me are spending a majority of their time online and they are very much in love and fascinated by everything that internet has to offer. But I feel whatever they like their, whatever they feel they ‘absolutely love’, is only a temporary fascination. One would easily forget the things they have encountered online , even if they really loved it. (until and unless it has that ‘shock factor’. It may not be true for you or the people you may know. But this is what I observe and that I what I write.
It is not something to be fixed or something that someone can tell me to fix. It is just the state of society that people are fine with , and which only bothers me.
You might not share the same opinion as mine, but since I am writing from what I see, it need not be something that you necessarily agree with.
PS. I totally hate it, when I have to dissect my poems and tell it as a rant. I am more than happy to discuss them, but I don’t like to justify myself, when I am just expressing myself. No offense.

  2. This is so deeply thoughtful! A very authentic and beautiful look at oneself.
