“Your Fullness” – Nayana Nair

66f4ccaed6fd0de793b63362ab1e5fcb

The fullness of your soul
reminds me of the emptiness of mine.
And of countless others
who have not yet realized
the word for what they feel,
who have been carefully dodging
their own reflections
by looking into the the right mirrors.
And you might not have known
what this plight feels like,
but I guess I am also choosing
a convenient lens to look at you,
while I am making list of people
who have misunderstood me.

About Nayana Nair

Hi, I am Nayana Nair. I'm 25. Just a crazy girl who has tons of things to talk about....not much organized thoughts sadly. I like to talk about everything...mostly..every conversation of mine turns into a monologue.... So I decided I should start writing a blog..rather than chat.... I'm very much passionate about music, psychology and literature.... Moderate interest in science..... I always want to be a writer (and also a teacher)..But I don't think I have the skills required...this blog is just my attempt at becoming the writer I always wanted to be...Blogging for few years, I have realized I am more of a poet (although, I am not sure that I am good enough for that label)...I hope I realize more about myself through writing. Thanks for dropping by!! Hope I didn't disappoint. :)

  1. Never ever feel like you have to live up to anyone else! You are unique one of a kind child of God! Your soul is not empty. You just may not have fully discovered the contents therein! Embrace who you are! Be authentically you! Compare yourself to no one! Instead celebrate your uniqueness!!!❤️❤️❤️Xoxoxo

    • When I wrote that I was thinking about those distorting mirrors, how they would be such bad mirrors if used in actual life. They just good for fun. 🙂 I thought maybe how we perceive ourselves would be like relying on such mirrors for reflecting what we are. And just because they help us maintain the delusions we have about ourselves, they would be the right mirrors for our heart. 🙂
I am glad you liked my poem 🙂
      Thanks a lot 🙂
