Quill Commander Award

So  UNIVERSE FIREFLIE  has once again nominated me for an award. I can’t thank her enough for kindness. Do visit her blog. She writes really well. 🙂

So the rules:

Thank the blogger who nominated you and post a link of their blog …(done)
List the rules of the award…(done)
Post a photo of your national flag and national anthem
Leave a favorite quote
Nominate some bloggers (won’t be doing that, as I already said, I totally don’t feel like doing this right now #WeirdMoodOfMine )

So, I am from India (I don’t think I have ever mentioned my nationality anywhere on my blog…let me check… it seems that I have…in another award post)

Here is a beautiful national flag of my country:

india-national-flag-city-light-night-bokeh-loop-animation-4k-resolution-ultra-hd-uhd_7jbjlqfk__F0000

And national anthem of my country is “Jana Gana Mana” (written by Rabindra Nath Tagore) . I miss singing it so much. That would be one of the things I miss about school. (Yeah, but recently we started to sing national anthem in cinema halls, so that’s good 🙂 )

Favorite Quote:

flat,800x800,070,f.u2

“Be it a rock or a grain of sand, in water they sink as the same.” – Oldboy

I won’t say it is my favorite quote (there are too many to choose from). But it is a recent favorite. I saw Oldboy (2003) last weekend (yeah I am always late to watch/read good stuff). I liked it a lot. It is kind of twisted and dark movie, so I don’t think it is everyone’s cup of tea. But I liked the movie a lot. And this quote reminds me that even small actions can have huge impact on other’s life, that one may not intend. And we may forget things that we do because they have no consequence in our own life, but meanwhile that forgotten act may be enough to alter someone’s  life in huge way. The size or magnitude of your actions doesn’t determine the effect they have. (Somewhere it reminded me of butterfly effect also)

So that was it.

Again I would like to thank UNIVERSE FIREFLIE  for nominating me for this award.

About Nayana Nair

Hi, I am Nayana Nair. I'm 25. Just a crazy girl who has tons of things to talk about....not much organized thoughts sadly. I like to talk about everything...mostly..every conversation of mine turns into a monologue.... So I decided I should start writing a blog..rather than chat.... I'm very much passionate about music, psychology and literature.... Moderate interest in science..... I always want to be a writer (and also a teacher)..But I don't think I have the skills required...this blog is just my attempt at becoming the writer I always wanted to be...Blogging for few years, I have realized I am more of a poet (although, I am not sure that I am good enough for that label)...I hope I realize more about myself through writing. Thanks for dropping by!! Hope I didn't disappoint. :)

    • He he 🙂 how our minds travels on same tracks of thoughts 🙂 😀
I totally agree with you. It is a very recurrent theme in many stories and I can see why. Because at the end of the day our life are affected by each other and no one can fully comprehend the effect we have on each other’s life. 🙂

      • universe fireflie

        okay!
I GOTTA SAY THIS, WE ARE TWINS. thats it, nayana I mean come on!!!!!

      • sahi baat h 🙂
there is no other explanation for this much similarity that we have 🙂 This is so unreal 😀

      • universe fireflie

        he na!!!
u seem very much like me, to me. idk. maybe we are different. but ur writing seems so much like something i feel. I don’t know. Just ur thought process and all 🙂

      • Same here dear 🙂
We are very much alike. At least in the way we think and how we look at the world I guess. (We have toooo many similarities to dismiss as coincidence)
But there is one difference, that I must point out. You write so well, at 15….I mean at 15, god knows what I was doing. I can’t even compare to that. 🙂

      • universe fireflie

        oh my god!!!
my heart stopped when i read we have one difference tho.
HOnestly tho, i just LOVE writing and write the stuff that i want to.I want people to see and feel what i imagine, if u know what i mean. I just love reading and writing. LOVE IT 🙂

      • he he 🙂
I know what you mean, I have spent most of my time reading and listening to music when I was young. Couldn’t even dare to write, I looked up to these writers and artists so much. I still don’t think that I have talent enough to write. But I like to write. (I don’t like the end product of my writing though)
But all this hard work will be totally worth it, if I could create even one beautiful piece of writing that can touch another person’s heart. I can’t really explain this fascination I have with words , books, stories and songs. But I feel these feelings frozen in words are more warm than anything in this world. And I want to be a small part of that. I am not sure if I am making any sense.

      • universe fireflie

        o ma lord!!!
U MAKE SOOO MUCH SENSE HERE!!!
honestly i love words sooo much okay. like gimme a the most boring book in the world i would still love just for the fact that the books has WORDS inside it. songs are the most effective things that inspire me to write. LITERALLY. and honestly, i felt like i was the only one with this.
I want to be A HUGE part of those people who seize ur heart and leave an everlasting thumb print.
        I mean, wowwww!!!!!!!
        goddamn it. we are similiar.
there are soo man artists, taylor swift, and just people who thought u and they make such a huge impact on ur life, its actually crazy

      • I think that is the best part of my life that I am passionate about this. How boring and ridiculous life would have been otherwise.
(Though there are certain books that go right over my head, that is lack in my part to be honest)
I live in the perpetual dream that I am missing out on some really awesome books and songs. I wish I knew all the languages in the world. So that I could get to know all stuff. But then also not enough time. Life is too short ☹️
I also like Taylor☺️ But my favourite artist/musician ever are BTS 😁😁😁
Same pinch Yaar ☺️ kuch jyada hi similar h hum dono ☺️

      • universe fireflie

yeah i guess. but imma make sure the world doesn’t miss out on my imagination

      • You are surely capable of that 🙂 😀

      • universe fireflie

I want to. But i think everybody have something to give 🙂

      • Everyone has some kind of talent, but I believe it is a matter of persistence.

      • universe fireflie

        yes THAT!!!!
