“Beyond Repair” – Nayana Nair

46167-Snow-Covered-Tree

At some place in my life I realized that
I was ruined beyond repair.
And when I was done with all the crying,
with all the cursing,
and being therapist
to the girl that I was .
I grew up enough
to know,
that even if I can’t be what I was,
I can still be someone.
No one had to fix me.
Someone just had to show me, that it can be done.
And all the hope, that I thought was lost,
was back in the air that once seemed suffocating.

“IS IT?”- Nayana Nair

hhh

You love me, despite my faults

But is it really love?

When you know they are ‘flaws’

To know I am something to mend.

To believe if you correct me enough

Someday, I might become the idea.

The idea of a possible me.

A possible me, you could love.

When you look at me,

What do you see?

What do you think?

Do you see a list of things to fix,

List of things ‘not-right’.

I see you waiting for somebody

Who is not me.

It makes me wonder,

Did you ever love me?

I may be wrong,

absolutely wrong.

But with these harsh words

And impatient sighs.

Can you ever prove me otherwise.

You love me, despite my flaws.

But is it really love??
